Preparing your skin properly before applying makeup is essential to achieve a flawless look at any event. Here I provide you with six paragraphs on how to do it the days before and just before makeup, along with some recommended products.

Days Before the Event:

Days before the event, make sure to maintain a consistent skin care routine. Cleanse your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser that suits your skin type. This will help remove dirt and excess oil that could clog pores and cause texture problems.

Gently exfoliate your skin two to three times a week to remove dead cells and improve texture. Use a gentle exfoliant with fine particles or a chemical exfoliator with acids such as glycolic or salicylic acid, depending on your skin type.

Keep your skin well hydrated with a moisturizer suitable for your skin type. Hydration is essential to achieve a soft and luminous finish with makeup.

Just Before Makeup:
4. Wash your face with warm water to open pores and remove any residue from previous products. Next, apply a light moisturizer to keep your skin supple and receptive.

Apply a facial primer. This product acts as a base for your makeup and helps it last longer. You can opt for a mattifying primer if you have oily skin or a illuminating primer for a subtle glow.

Finally, use a facial mist to lock in hydration and prepare the skin to receive makeup. Some contain ingredients that help refresh and soften the skin.

Recommended Products:

Gentle facial cleanser.
Facial scrub suitable for your skin type.
Moisturizer.
Facial primer (mattifying or illuminating, depending on your needs).
Facial mist or setting spray.
By following this skin prep routine, you’ll be able to ensure that your makeup applies evenly and looks flawless throughout the event. Plus, taking long-term care of your skin will help keep it healthy and radiant in the future.
